Historic Madie Carroll House built in 1810 is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Restorations are underway to bring the house back to the 1855-1875 eras. The house has served as a private residence, the first Catholic Church in Cabell County as well as an Inn where C. P. Huntington stopped.
